Qualifications


All Legends Society™.com Top Lawyers must meet or exceed the following general standards:

  • Must be a licensed lawyer in at least one state for a minimum of ten years.
  • Must never have received temporary or permanent suspension, disbarment, or reprimand from their local, state, or federal licensing agency.

In addition to the above general standards, all Legends Society.com Top Lawyers must meet or exceed the following standards for each area of practice for which they apply:

  • Real Estate and Business Law
    Administered at least 20 probate estates where the value of the underlying estate was in excess of $1,000,000.
  • Probate Law -
    Administered at least 20 probate estates where the value of the underlying estate was in excess of $1,000,000.
  • Plaintiff Personal Injury -
    Obtained at least 3 settlements or verdicts in excess of $1,000,000.
  • Civil Trial Law - Plaintiff or Defense - 
    Obtained verdicts in at least 10 trials where the amount in controversy was alleged to be in excess of $75,000.
  • Criminal Defense Law -
    Obtained verdicts in at least 10 trials of felony cases.
  • Marital and Family Law -
    Obtained final orders or judgments by trial in at least 20 contested marital or family law cases.
  • Business and Consumer Bankruptcy Law -
    Obtained discharge orders in at least 100 bankruptcy filings along with obtaining at least 20 court orders in either adversarial proceedings or contested matters.
  • Immigration Law -
    Obtained relief from deportation or removal in at least 20 cases; or have obtained approval in at least 100 immigrant and non immigrant visa applications or petitions.
  • Worker's Compensation -
    Obtained final orders or judgments by trial in at least 20 workers' compensation cases.

If other lawyers or co-counsel were involved in the applicant's obtaining the above results, it will be presumed that all the lawyers will agree that the applicant had a significant role in obtaining that result.
